Here's where you can get vaccinated in York Region in the next week

York Region continues to hold school-based COVID-19 vaccine clinics to get students and educators vaccinated for the school year, with an upcoming clinic scheduled for Newmarket High School.

On Tuesday, Sept. 21, a vaccine clinic will take place at the school, which is located at 505 Pickering Cres., from 4 to 7 p.m.

This is one of several school-based clinics being held this week.

Today, Tuesday, Sept. 14 clinics are taking place at Keswick High School and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic College High School, both in Georgina.

In Vaughan, clinics will be held at Tommy Douglas Secondary School and Father Bressani Catholic High School in Vaughan Wednesday, Sept. 15; at Emily Carr Secondary School and St. Jean De Brebeuf Catholic High School Thursday, Sept. 16; and at Stephen Lewis Secondary School and St. Elizabeth Catholic High School Friday, Sept. 17.

School-based clinics will go to Richmond Hill on Monday, Sept. 20 with one being held at Bayview Secondary School and another at St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School.

On Tuesday, Sept. 21, there will also be a clinic at King Secondary School.

All of the school-based clinics run from 4 to 7 p.m.

There are also a number of pop-up clinics for the general community planned throughout the week in York Region.

The walk-in clinic at York Region Administrative Centre at 17250 Yonge St. in Newmarket continues to operate Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Sept. 15, a vaccine clinic will be held at the Canadian Mental Health Association Aurora location at 15150 Yonge St. from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 18 a clinic will take place at East Beaver Creek Plaza at 155 York Blvd. in Richmond Hill from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and at the Markham Presentation Centre at 162 Enterprise Dr. from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and again at the same time on Sunday, Sept. 19.

Both the pop-up clinics and the school based clinics will accept walk-ins for a first or second dose of the COVID-19 Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

As of Sept. 12, 84.8 per cent of York Region residents aged 12 and up have received at least one dose of a vaccine and 79.9 per cent are fully vaccinated.
