Schomberg’s downtown just received a nearly $70,000 investment.

The Ontario government announced funding of $69,702 for Schomberg’s downtown revitalization strategy.

Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughan, announced the funding through Ontario’s Rural Economic Development program.

The strategy will attract investments, businesses and local partners in the hopes of diversifying the local economy, bringing jobs into the community and providing easier access to services for residents.

“We are delighted to build on the foundational Downtown Revitalization Strategy that was supported through RED in 2018. Working together with our incredible businesses and dedicated community groups, we will now move forward with the implementation of our strategy to highlight Schomberg Main Street as it is and one of our true hidden gems in King Township,” said King Mayor Steve Pellegrini.
