York Region opening 4 COVID-19 vaccination pop-up clinics in Georgina, Vaughan, Markham schools

York Region Public Health is opening four pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics in schools Aug. 25, part of its ongoing efforts to promote youth vaccinations.
The age eligibility criteria for the vaccine is 12 years and older, including anyone turning 12 this year.
From noon to 7 p.m., the pop-up clinics will be open for staff, students and family members in the school communities in Georgina, Markham, and Vaughan.
The locations are:
Sutton District High School, 20798 Dalton Rd., Georgina;
Keswick High School, 100 Biscayne Blvd., Georgina;
Maple High School, 50 Springside Rd., Vaughan; and
Markville Secondary School, 1000 Carlton Rd., Markham.
According to an Aug. 23 media release from the region, 82.9 per cent of the region's eligible residents 12 and older have received their first dose, and 77.1 per cent are now fully vaccinated.
