Pop-up COVID vaccine clinics coming to East Gwillimbury and Aurora July 10 and 11

Pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics are coming to East Gwillimbury and Aurora the weekend of July 10 and and 11.

Provincial run clinics will be held at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex and the Aurora Community Centre.

In East Gwillimbury, the clinic will run from 9 a.m to 7 p.m. at the the Sports Complex located at 1914B Mount Albert Rd.

The clinic will offer first and second dose appointments to eligible individuals.

Individuals, who attended the first pop-up clinic held in the Town of East Gwillimbury in May, will have the first opportunity at booking a second dose appointment at this clinic. This clinic will be offering the Moderna COVID-19 mRNA vaccine.

In Aurora, the clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Aurora Community Centre located at 1 Community Centre Ln. and Aurora Heights Dr. 

First and second doses will be available for individuals aged 12 and older who live, work or go to school in York Region.

Second doses will be offered for individuals aged 12 and older following a 28-day interval between the first and second dose.

This clinic will offer the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Appointments are required at both clinics and can be booked by visiting york.ca/COVID19Vaccine; walk-in appointments will not be accepted.

According to York Region spokesperson Patrick Casey more than 1.1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in York Region to date.
