Walk-ins for first and second COVID-19 vaccinations are available at several venues across York Region starting July 21.

The Region of York says walk-in vaccinations for all eligible people who live, work or attend school in York Region will help to improve access to COVID-19 vaccines.

Due to an increase in vaccine supply, York Region COVID-19 vaccination clinics are now offering both Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna mRNA vaccines.

Appointments are still available for those who prefer to book one in advance.

Individuals with previously booked second appointments later this summer are encouraged to book an earlier appointment or take advantage of the ability to walk-in at one of the eight clinics listed below.

Walk-in hours vary at each clinic.

-- Aaniin Community Centre, Markham

-- Cornell Community Centre, Markham

-- Georgina Ice Palace, Keswick

-- Maple Community Centre, Maple

-- Ray Twinney Complex, Newmarket
