A developer has submitted applications to pave the way for a new condominium tower, dubbed the Condo Project, at Yonge Street and Irwin Avenue, just north of Wellington St. East, in Aurora.
JUST THE FACTS:
An official plan amendment, zoning by-law amendment and site plan control application have been submitted to allow for a six-storey residential building, according to the Town of Aurora.
The applicant is Alive Development Inc. The company announced the launch of the Condo Project in mid-September 2020.
The addresses for the condominium are 15296, 15306 and 15314 Yonge Street.
According to the project manager for the development, David Farrow, the property is around one-to-two-acres. The six-storey condo is proposed to consist of 136 one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
Alive Development Inc. hopes to have its proposal approved by the town so that it can proceed with construction in 2022.
A public meeting to give residents a chance to share their thoughts on the development proposal is expected to be scheduled sometime in the fall.
