Aurora is starting Canada Day off early with a week full of festivities for residents to enjoy, starting June 26 and going to July 3.

The week will kick off with the first drive-in movie of the season on June 26, pending COVID-19 restrictions.

The fun will continue throughout the week with other interactive, virtual experiences, including paint sessions, game shows and live virtual shows.

There will also be a Canada Day activity challenge.

As Aurora, known as Canada’s Birthday Town, is turning 158 years old this year, there will be 158 Canada Day activity bags available. Can you complete all 158 missions?

On July 1, Aurora Farmers’ Market and Artisan Fair joins in on the fun at Town Park.

While you’re there, help create a commemorative community mosaic. There are 450 tiles waiting to be painted so register quickly so you don’t miss out.

More details about the movie and how to sign up for activities will come from the town soon.

Festivities are posted at aurora.ca/CanadaDay and new information and activities are continually being added.
