Join the City of Richmond Hill on Thursday, July 1, for an exciting Canada Day lineup. Activities include a virtual interactive showcase of performers (including local talent!), a drive-in concert, virtual fireworks and lots of fun and games for the whole family.
WHAT'S ON JULY 1
Virtual Interactive Showcase and Performances, 1 -- 5 p.m.
We have an afternoon schedule full of activities for all ages including Canadian music bingo, hula-hoop and circus workshop, a magic and illusion show and more. While space is limited to participate in the live interactive programming, there's no limit to how many can watch online from home. The Official Welcome takes place at 1 p.m.
Drumming Celebration
Be a part of a Canada-wide attempt to set a new Guinness World Records™ title of "Most people performing a drum roll online simultaneously"! Deadline to register is June 23.
Games and Contests
We have a variety of games and contests planned for the big day, including a Kahoot Trivia Game, Rocket League video game tournament, Show Your Canadian Colours Contest and a Canadian Music Dance Contest.
Drive-In Concert, 6 -- 8 p.m.
Take part in our drive-in concert featuring Kayla Diamond from the comfort of your own car. Space is limited, so make sure to register early. You can also watch the concert online from home.
Virtual Fireworks Simulation, 8 p.m.
Enjoy Canada Day fireworks from your mobile device or computer! The virtual fireworks simulation starts at 8 p.m.
