King mayor appointed to York police services board

Steve Pellegrini named to group by regional council on June 1

King Township Mayor Steve Pellegrini has been named as the newest member of the York Regional Police services board.

Pellegrini was appointed by York Regional council on June 1 for the remainder of the 2019-2022 term.

“It is my honour to be a member of the police services board,” Pellegrini said. “I truly believe York Regional Police is one of the finest organizations, and as a resident we are thankful for their service. I look forward to contributing and working with all board members to making the service even better.”

Pellegrini was sworn into office in King in 2010 and is now serving his third consecutive term. He worked for over 35 years in the municipal sector, recently retiring as a manager of the project management office.
