After several months of positive COVID-19 tests at York Region grocery stores totalling more than 10 stores a week, the numbers have dipped drastically, along with the province's overall case counts, as vaccinations continue to roll out.

Over the last week, only two grocery stores in the region reported positive tests.

In Richmond Hill, an employee at the No Frills at 13071 Yonge St. tested positive. The last day they worked was June 2.

In Thornhill, an employee at the 8000 Bathurst St. Shoppers Drug Mart location tested positive. The last day they worked was May 26.
