15 grocery strores in York Region report recent positive COVID-19 tests

No Frills, Longo's, Shoppers Drug Mart, Fortinos among those with positive tests

COVID-19 case counts around Ontario are trending down, but the positive tests among grocery store workers in York Region continue to pour in.

Since April 28, 15 grocery stores in the region reported positive tests, along with four McDonald's location.

Three Shoppers Drug Mart employees at the 2140 King Rd. location in King City tested positive for COVID-19. The last days they worked were April 14 and 15.

In Markham, two employee at Dave and Annette's No Frills, 7075 Markham Rd., tested positive for COVID-19. The last days they worked were April 19 and 20.

A Shoppers Drug Mart employee at the 8000 Bathurst St. location in Thornhill tested positive. The last day they worked was April 23.

A Longo's employee at the East Gwillimbury location, 18319 Yonge St., tested positive. The last shift they worked was April 20.

In Vaughan, a Fortinos employee at the 8585 Hwy. 27 location tested positive. The last day they worked was April 26.

Elsewhere, four Fortinos employees at the 3940 Hwy. 7 location tested positive for COVID-19. The last days they worked were April 16, 19, 22 and 27.

A Longo's employee at the 5283 Rutherford Rd. location tested positive. The last day they worked was April 25.

A Fortinos employee at the 2911 Major Mackenzie Dr. location also tested positive. The last day they worked was April 24.

In Georgina, two Zehrs employees at the 24018 Woodbine Ave. location tested positive. The last day they worked was April 15.

Elsewhere in the area, a Shoppers Drug Mart employee at the 411 The Queensway S. location tested positive. The last day they worked was April 21.

In Richmond Hill, an employee at Rob's No Frills, 13071 Yonge St., tested positive for COVID-19. The last day they worked was April 23.

A Shoppers Drug Mart employee at the 13070 Yonge St. location tested positive. The last day they worked was April 28.

A Loblaws employee at the 301 High Tech Rd. location also tested positive. The last day they worked was April 25.

In Aurora, a Longo's employee at the 650 Wellington St. location tested positive. The last day they worked was April 27.

In King, a Foodland employee at the 17250 Hwy. 27 location in Schomberg tested positive. The last day they worked was April 24.

There were also 4 McDonald's restaurants in the region with recent positive tests.

An employee at the 300 Steeles Ave. location in Thornhill tested positive. The last day they worked was April 23.

In Vaughan, a McDonald's employee at the 2810 Major Mackenzie Dr. location tested positive. The last day they worked was April 26.

Elsewhere in Vaughan, a McDonald's employee at the 3320 Steeles Ave. location tested positive. The last day they worked was April 27.

A McDonald's employee at the 420 Hwy. 7 location in Richmond Hill also tested positive. The last day they worked was April 23.
