YRT mobility on-request service connects to 8 locations in Newmarket

York Region Transit (YRT) service changes will take place on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Schedule and route changes are being made to adjust for changing customer demand.

Due to the continued impacts of COVID-19, many YRT services are either not operating or on a reduced schedule; this will continue until further notice.

Transit is an essential service and continues to be available to those for essential travel. YRT monitors updates from York Region Public Health to ensure the safety of all travellers and staff and to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Measures in place include:

In addition to these measures, customers are strongly encouraged to only travel for essential needs, use contactless forms of payment, including PRESTO and the Pay app, practice physical distancing and travel during off-peak times wherever possible, exercise good hand hygiene and staying home when sick.
