Aurora residents are getting an extra day to get a COVID-19 vaccination in town.

Residents can now book appointments for vaccinations at a pop-up clinic on May 31, in addition to the May 29 and 30 dates already scheduled.

The clinic operates from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m and is located at the Aurora Community Centre, 1 Community Centre Lane. It is located outdoors so individuals are advised to dress appropriately for the weather.

Anyone 12-years-old and older who lives, works or attends school in Aurora can book an appointment to receive a vaccine at the clinic.

Children aged 12 and 13 must have a parent or legal guardians provide consent at the time of the vaccination.

Parents or guardians can accompany the child or complete and sign a consent form found at https://bit.ly/3wmJ2PZ and send it with the child to the appointment.

“I am excited to hear that the Ministry of Health and York Region approved our request to add an additional day to our vaccination clinic. We have seen clinics popping up in neighbouring towns and are happy to provide Aurorans with this three-day vaccination clinic,” Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakas said.
