The positive COVID-19 tests at grocery stores in York Region are dropping as cases drop across Ontario. There have only been five grocery stores that have reported positive tests in the last week.

In Markham, a Shoppers Drug Mart employee tested positive at the 1730 Bur Oak location. The last day they worked was May 16. A Longo’s employee tested positive at the 98 Copper Creek Drive location. The last day they worked was May 18.

In Vaughan, a Food Basics employee tested positive at the 9600 Islington Ave. location. The last day they worked was May 19. Two Fortinos employee at the 2911 Major Mackenzie Dr. location tested positive. The last day they worked was May 11 and May 16.

In Newmarket, a Shoppers Drug Mart employee tested positive at the 17600 Yonge St. location. The last day they worked was May 14.
