The Region of York is offering youth-friendly clinics at its COVID-19 vaccination sites starting May 27.
The clinics offer longer appointment time slots to support youth needs and targeted mental-health resources. It is also an opportunity to get vaccinated with other family members.
Families are encouraged to book appointments together for any family member 12 years of age and older who has not yet received their first dose of the vaccine.
Children 13 years old and under require a parent or legal guardian to provide consent at the time of the vaccination.
If a parent or legal guardian is unable to accompany their 12- or 13-year-old child to the appointment they can complete and sign a consent form and send it with the child to the appointment.
