Watermain work along Major Mackenzie Drive West in Richmond Hill will disrupt traffic until fall

Lane restrictions are scheduled for stretch between Bathurst Street and Yonge Street from end of May to November

Road restrictions will be in place along Major Mackenzie Drive West, from Bathurst Street to Yonge Street, for watermain construction starting the week of May 24 and running until November.

The westbound curb lane of Major Mackenzie Drive West will be intermittently impacted throughout the project as crews work from Bathurst Street to Yonge Street.

Intermittent lane reductions will occur on the following roads and intersections during construction:

Major Mackenzie Drive West

Don Head Village Boulevard

Trench Street

Arnold Crescent

Bathurst Street

Traffic control will be in place during construction.

As the work falls under the essential services list, precautions will be in place to support the health and safety of crews.

Brief water service disruptions for the watermain construction will occur.  Residents will receive written notification prior to water service and driveways access disruptions.
