Road resurfacing project slated for Georgina's Ravenshoe Road this summer

Construction work set to begin May 25 and last until end of July

A road improvement project is expected to impact traffic on a section of Ravenshoe Road in Georgina starting May 25.

The Region of York says a resurfacing of the stretch of roadway from Prout Road to Concession 5 is expected to be completed by the end of July.

Ravenshoe Road is expected to remain open to traffic and access to residences and businesses will be maintained.

To accommodate construction, lane reductions may be required on weekdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Motorists are reminded to use caution while driving in the area during construction hours.
