Pop-up vaccine clinic coming to East Gwillimbury this weekend

A pop-up vaccine clinic is coming to East Gwillimbury May 22 and 23.

York Region, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, will operate the clinic from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. It will be located at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex, 1914B Mount Albert Rd., Sharon.

Anyone 18 and older who lives or works in East Gwillimbury is eligible to book an appoint to receive a vaccine. The clinic is offering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, so individuals must be at least 18 years old on the day they receive their vaccine, as this vaccine is only authorized for use in individuals 18 and older.

Eligible individuals can book an appointment by visiting york.ca/covid19vaccine.

This pop-up clinic will be located outdoors. Individuals are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and protect themselves against the sun.

East Gwillimbury and Aurora are the only municipalities in York Region that don’t have long-term vaccine clinics running.
