The positive COVID-19 tests at grocery stores in York Region are coming fast even as vaccine deployment ramps up in York Region. Fifteen grocery stores across the region reported recent positive tests.
In Newmarket, a Shoppers Drug Mart employee at the 166339 Yonge St. location tested positive. The last day the team member worked was on May 1.
A Food Basics employee tested positive at the 17725 Yonge St. location. The employee's last day of work was April 27.
In Aurora, two Real Canadian Superstore employees tested positive at the 15900 Bayview Ave. location. The last day the team members worked was on April 20 and 21.
In Georgina, a Zehr's employees tested positive at the 24018 Woodbine Ave. location. The last day the team member worked was May 1.
A Walmart employee at the 23550 Woodbine Ave. location tested positive. The last day they worked was May 1.
In Vaughan, an employee at Anthony's No Frills located at 1054 Centre St. tested positive. The last day they worked was April 29.
An employee tested also tested positive at Vince and Franca's No Frills, located at 1631 Rutherford Rd. The last day they worked was April 27.
A Longo's employee tested positive at the 9200 Weston Rd. location. The last day they worked was May 1.
A Shoppers Drug Mart employee tested positive at the same 9200 Weston Rd. location. The last day they worked was May 5.
In Richmond Hill, a Food Basics employee tested positive at the 1070 Major Mackenzie Dr. E. location. The last day they employee worked was April 19.
A Longo's employee tested positive at the 2810 Major Mackenzie Dr. location. The last day they worked was May 3.
A LCBO employee tested positive at the 9970 Dufferin St. location. The last shift worked in store was April 30.
In Markham, a FreshCo employee tested positive at the 9580 McCowan Rd. location. The last day they worked was April 23.
A Walmart employee tested positive at the 500 Copper Creek Dr. location. The last day they worked was April 27.
In Thornhill, a Walmart employee tested positive at the 700 Centre St. location. The last day they worked was May 4.
