Longo's, No Frills, Fortinos, Loblaws among 12 stores in York Region with recent positive COVID-19 tests

Grocery store workers are getting hit hard by third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in York Region.

There were 12 stores in the region that reported positive tests among employees over the last four days. This comes after 22 stores reported positive tests last week.

Two Longo's employees at the 10860 Yonge St. location in Richmond Hill tested positive for COVID-19. The last days they worked were April 10 and 13.

Elsewhere in Richmond Hill, an employee tested positive at Rob's No Frills, located at 13071 Yonge St. The last day they worked was April 7.

In Vaughan, two employees tested positive at the Fortinos located at 3940 Hwy. 7. The last days they worked were April 13 and 16.

It wasn't the only Fortinos with multiple positive tests. Three employees tested positive at the store located at 2911 Major Mackenzie Dr., Vaughan. The last days they worked were April 10 and 11.

A No Frills employee at the 3800 Rutherford Rd. location in Vaughan tested positive. The last day they worked was April 14.

A No Frills employee at the 1054 Centre St. location in Vaughan also tested positive. The last day they employee worked was April 19.

A Longo's employee at the 5283 Rutherford Rd. location in Vaughan tested positive. The last day they worked was April 14.

A Longo's employee at the 9200 Weston Rd. location in Vaughan also tested positive. The last day they worked was April 11.

In Markham, there were several positive tests reported among employees at the 200 Bullock Drive Loblaws location. No dates were given for when employees last worked.

An employee at the 8601 Warden Ave. No Frills location in Markham also tested positive. The last day they worked was April 12.

Two employees at the Longo's located at 5771 Main St., Stouffville, tested positive. The last days they worked were April 10 and 13.

A Shoppers Drug Mart employee also tested positive at the 2140 King Rd. store in King City. The last day they worked was April 14.
