12 grocery stores in York Region report recent positive COVID tests as cases surge

The positive COVID-19 tests at York Region grocery stores continue at rapid pace.

There were four Shoppers Drug Marts in the area with positive tests. An employee at the 13070 Yonge St. location in Richmond Hill tested positive. The last day the team member worked was on April 3.

Two Shoppers Drug Mart employees at the 6579 Hwy. 7 location in Markham tested positive for COVID-19. The last day each team members worked was on April 1 and 4.

Two Shoppers Drug Mart employees also tested positive at the 2920 Major Mackenzie Dr. location in Markham. The last day the team members worked was March 31 and April 6.

There was also a Shoppers Drug Mart employee who tested positive at the 5762 Hwy. 7 location in Markham. The last day they worked was April 4.

Elsewhere in the region, multiple employees tested positive at Fortinos located on 2911 Major Mackenzie Dr. in Vaughan. There were no dates given by Loblaws on the last shifts the employees worked.

Two employees at Jim's No Frills located on 10488 Yonge St. in Richmond Hill tested positive. The last days they worked were April 1 and April 4.

Two employees at Real Canadian Superstore on 15900 Bayview Ave. in Aurora tested positive. The last day they worked was April 3 and April 6.

A Longo's employee at the 9306 Bathurst location in Vaughan tested positive. The last day they worked was April 5th.

A Longo's employee also tested positive at the 3085 Hwy. 7 location in Markham. The last day they worked was April 6.

Three employees at Fortinos located at 8585 Hwy. 27 also tested positive. The last days they worked was March 31, April 3 and April 6.

Three FreshCo employees located at 3737 Major Mackenzie Dr. in Vaughan tested positive. The last days they worked were April 3, April 6 and April 7.

A FreshCo employee also tested positive at the 800 Steeles Ave. location in Thornhill. The last day they worked was April 7.
