York Region adults with developmental disabilities can be vaccinated against COVID-19 three days this week.

The first clinic will be held April 13 and 14 at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex at 100 Eagle St. W in Newmarket.

The second will be held April 13, 14 and 15 at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital at 3200 Major Mackenzie Dr. W. in Vaughan.

The clinics are being offered in partnership with non-profit organization Reena and development service agencies.

People registering for the clinics must be eligible for adult developmental services, as confirmed by York Support Services Network/DSO Central East Region. In registering, you consent to YSSN/DSO CER confirming your eligibility prior to vaccination.

To book an appointment, visit yrh.vertoengage.com.

Click on “start my booking,” choose a vaccine site, choose “adult with developmental disability/selected caregiver” from the priority group menu and then choose a date and time.

Bring your health card and completed consent form with you to the clinic.

One caregiver can be vaccinated at the same time. The care provider requires a separate appointment.

Repeat the steps above and choose the same date and time or the nearest appointment for the caregiver to be vaccinated.

Several vaccination clinic days are being dedicated to adults with developmental disabilities to provide flexibility for people with medical or behavioral needs.

Additional physicians will be at the vaccination centre on these days to offer support.
