WHAT?

The City of Richmond Hill has launched the #ShopRichmond initiative to support local small businesses during COVID-19.

The aim of the month-long social media campaign and contest is to encourage residents to shop local and help businesses recover from the economic impact of the pandemic.

WHEN?

The campaign will run from March 1 to March 31 in collaboration with the Richmond Hill Board of Trade and the Village of Richmond Hill Business Improvement Area.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

Participants are required to buy something from a Richmond Hill small business or restaurant, take a photo of the purchase, and post it on social media using #ShopRichmondHill, tagging @MyRichmondHill and mentioning the business you’re supporting.

If you don’t have a social media account, you can still submit your entry via the online submission form.

There are seven prizes to be won in total, by random draw. The winner will win one of the following prizes:

One of three $500 gift vouchers to be spent at a small business of your choice in Richmond Hill.

One of three $100 gift certificates to be spent at a BIA member business from the BIA's business directory.

One of three $100 gift certificates to be spent at selected Richmond Hill Board of Trade members' businesses.
