The City of Vaughan wants to encourage walking, cycling and create more pedestrian-oriented spaces by improving Teston Road.
But before making any changes, the city wanted to understand the community better so it launched the Teston Road Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) Study.
Now it's inviting residents to have a say, virtually, by visiting vaughan.ca/TestonRoad.
“Feedback collected will help the city understand what is important to citizens and consider these opinions in the study recommendations,” the city said in a statement.
This online self-guided, public Information centre will be available until Friday, March 12.
Phase 1 of the study, which is currently underway, includes collecting background information on the area and conducting field investigations such as natural environment surveys, cultural heritage and archeological investigations and drainage assessments, the city said.
“Widening the road for increased vehicular traffic is not anticipated as part of this study,” the city noted.
