The City of Vaughan is in the process to refurbish and improve its historic Woodbridge Avenue, with its detailed design expected to be completed by end of 2021.

However, before kick-starting construction, targeted to begin in early 2022 with the anticipated completion by summer 2023, Vaughan wants to further involve the public via a public information centre (PIC).

PIC will be held to present the design, review the scope, and discuss any relevant issues on Tuesday, March 23, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“Building on that plan, the city has initiated detailed design that includes improvements to underground infrastructure, roadway, parking lay-bys, traffic signals, street lighting, and overall streetscaping and landscape enhancements,” the city said in a notice dated on March 11.

In addition to the PIC, the public can submit comments to the design team by Monday, April 5.

In addition, an online presentation, outlining the background and current initiatives, will be available on the city’s website at vaughan.ca/WoodbridgeAve.
