King Township announced the Trisan Fitness Centre and running track reopened to the public as of 6 a.m. March 17.
Here are some of the key facts you need to know about the reopening:
- No in-person fitness classes are being offered at this time but the township will continue offering virtual fitness classes via the Trisan Live platform.
- Fitness services have adapted over the last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic to provide a safe continuation of programming for members.
- The township is offering a new month-to-month membership fee structure due to the impact COVID-19 changes have had on program delivery, class schedules, capacity limits and hours of operation.
- The new membership was developed to better adapt to future changes and impacts related to COVID-19 and will be piloted on a trial basis until public health measures are eased and/or user numbers are sustainable enough to warrant increased service levels for a prolonged period of time.
- There are several requirements in place to use the Trisan Fitness Centre, such as using an online COVID-19 screening tool, filling a pre-registration form for workout, completing a COVID-19 liability waiver, wearing masks and physically distancing.
