Positive COVID-19 cases among employees at grocery stores in York Region increased this week, with cases at three grocery stores in the Newmarket area and three in Richmond Hill.

An employee at Dickie's No Frills, located at 17255 Leslie St., Newmarket tested positive for COVID-19. The last day they worked was March 4.

Elsewhere in Newmarket, an employee at Metro, located at 16640 Yonge St., tested positive. The employee's last day of work was March 2.

An employee also tested positive at Real Canadian Superstore, located at 18120 Yonge St., East Gwillimbury. The last day the team member worked was March 3.

Three employees at Rob's No Frills, located at 13071 Yonge St., Richmond Hill tested positive. The last days the employees worked were March 1, 3 and 4.

An employee at Food Basics, located at 1070 Major Mackenzie Dr., Richmond Hill, also tested positive. The employee's last day of work was March 3.

An employee also tested positive at FreshCo, located at 1430 Major Mackenzie Dr., Richmond Hill. The last day they worked was March 7.
