Loblaws, Food Basics among latest York Region businesses with employees testing positive for COVID-19

Longo's, McDonald's locations also affected

Positive COVID-19 tests at local grocers and retailers continue in York Region.

Employees at two Loblaws stores in Richmond Hill had recent positive tests. An employee at the 10909 Yonge St. location and one at the 301 High Tech Rd. location tested positive. The last days they worked were Jan. 20 and 28, respectively.

An employee at the McDonald's located at 420 Hwy. 7, Richmond Hill, also a positive test. The last day the employee worked was Jan. 27.

An employee also tested positive at the McDonald's at 300 Steeles Ave., Thornhill.  The last day they worked was Jan. 27.

Other stores in the region with employees who tested positive include Food Basics at 10 Royal Orchard Blvd., Markham, and Longo's at 18319 Yonge St., East Gwillimbury. The last days those employees worked were Jan. 28 and 29, respectively.
