Markham, Vaughan, Stouffville, Richmond Hill schools have new cases of COVID-19

7 confirmed cases in total in YRDSB and YCDSB as of Feb. 23

There are seven confirmed cases of COVID-19 at York Region schools as of Feb. 23.

York Region District School Board has five confirmed cases.

Lincoln Alexander Public School in Markham, Wendat Village Public School in Stouffville and Windham Ridge Public School in Richmond Hill each have a confirmed case.

Two Vaughan schools  --Maple High School and Woodbridge College --each have one confirmed case.

Two other cases are from the York Catholic District School Board.

St. Elizabeth Catholic High School in Vaughan has a new case of COVID-19 and a classroom has been closed.

St. James Catholic Elementary School in Vaughan also reports a confirmed case and a closed classroom.

York Region Public Health says it will communicate directly with those who had contact with the cases. York Region District School Board and York Catholic District School Board will make sure that all appropriate measures are being taken.
