4 schools in Vaughan have new cases of COVID-19 on 1st day back to school
No confirmed cases in any other York Region municipality

With school back in session, authorities are once again reporting COVID-19 cases in classrooms.
In York Region District School Board, there is one confirmed case in Viola Desmond Public School in Vaughan as of Feb. 18, according to the Government of Ontario.
Four confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in York Catholic District School Board. St. Andrew Catholic Elementary School and St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Elementary School in Vaughan each have two confirmed cases.
Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir also has a new case in EEC Le-Petit-Prince in Vaughan.
York Region Public Health says it will communicate directly with those who had contact with the cases. York Region District School Board and York Catholic District School Board will make sure that all appropriate measures are being taken.

Public Health reminds students and families not to enter school if they are feeling sick or have had close contact with a confirmed case or with someone who is showing symptoms of COVID-19.
