Employees of Longo's, Food Basics, Sobeys, Fortinos, LCBO in Markham, Vaughan test positive for COVID-19

2 more employees at Fortinos, 8585 Hwy. 27, Vaughan, recently tested positive after previous outbreak involving 14 workers

Positive COVID-19 tests continue among employees of grocers and retailers across York Region.

Not many grocery stores have been as hard hit as the Fortinos located at 8585 Hwy. 27, Vaughan. Last month, it was revealed that 14 employees tested positive in a condensed time frame. The store has also had two recent positive tests. The last days the employees worked were Jan. 29 and Feb. 8.

The Longo's located at 7355 Bayview Ave., Thornhill, also has an employee who tested positive. The last day they worked was Feb. 8.

An employee also tested positive at the Longo's located at 3085 Hwy. 7, Markham. The last day they worked was Jan. 31.

The Sobeys located at 441 Clark Ave. W., Thornhill also had a recent positive test. The last day the employee worked was Feb. 4.

An employee of the Food Basics store at 9600 Islington Ave., Woodbridge, also tested positive. The employee last worked Jan. 9.

The LCBO store, located at 2943 Major Mackenzie Dr., Vaughan, also has an employee with a recent positive test. The last day the employee worked was Jan. 30.
