1. 2021 tax rate increase
King Township council will aim for a near-zero tax rate increase for 2021. Mayor Steve Pellegrini said council knows it has been a difficult year for people and they will bear that in mind when budget talks start in 2021.
2. Ministerial Zoning Order for property north of King City
Council has already chosen not to endorse the request for a Ministerial Zoning Order (MZO) but agreed to host a roundtable that would include local community leaders on the subject in 2021.
3. Roadway paving
King Township has more than 300 kilometres of roadway within its borders and council remains committed to repairing and upgrading those roads in 2021.
4. Parks
Mayor Steve Pellegrini said council understands there is a greater need for parks and playgrounds in King Township and that council will consider that in the coming year.
5. Community Improvement Program
Council has approved an expanded Community Improvement Program (CIP) for 2021 that will allow businesses from all over King Township to apply for funding.
