Employees at 5 Longo's locations in York Region test positive for COVID-19 in recent days

Multiple employees tested positive in Markham, Aurora, Vaughan

There have been several positive COVID-19 tests among employees at grocers in York Region in recent days.

In addition to 22 Loblaws employees who tested positive, several; Longos employees have tested positive in Markham, Aurora and Vaughan.

There were two positive cases at the Boxgrove Longo's, 98 Copper Creek Dr., Markham. The last days the employees worked were Dec.  24 and 31.

There were also two positive cases at the Aurora Longo's, 650 Wellington St. The last day the employees worked was Dec. 28.

There was one positive test at the Bathurst Longo's, 9306 Bathurst St., Vaughan. The last day the employee worked was Dec. 27. 

There was one positive test at the Rutherford Longo's, 5283 Rutherford Rd., Vaughan. The last day the employee worked was Dec. 27.

An employee at the Bayview Longo's, 7355 Bayview Ave., Thornhill, also tested positive for COVID-19. The last day the employee worked was Dec. 27.

According to the Longo's website, stores have been operating under heightened preventative measures and in accordance with recommendations from public health to protect against the spread of COVID-19.
