Employees at grocery stores in Newmarket, Vaughan, Markham, LCBO in Richmond Hill test positive for COVID-19
Longos, Real Canadian Superstore, Fortinos all report recent positive tests

Positive COVID-19 tests at retailers continue to pour in around York Region.
Several grocery stores in Vaughan, Markham and Newmarket reported recent positive tests.
Four employees at the Fortinos located at 3940 Hwy. 7, Vaughan, tested positive for COVID-19. The last days the team members worked were Jan. 3, 12 and 15.
It wasn't the only Fortinos with positive tests. Two team members tested positive at the store located at 2911 Major Mackenzie Dr. W. The last days those employees worked were Jan. 4 and 6.
Last week, it was revealed that the Fortinos at 8585 Hwy. 27 had 14 recent positive tests among its employees.
An employee at the Real Canadian Superstore, 18120 Yonge St., East Gwillimbury, has also tested positive.
The last day the employee worked was Jan. 13.
According to the Loblaws COVID-19 policy, the company is prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in its stores.
In these cases, the store works closely with public health and follows its guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization of the store.
Two Employees at the Markham Longo's at 3085 Hwy. 7 tested positive. The last days they worked were Jan. 7 and 14.
Three employees at the Rutherford Longo's at 5283 Rutherford Rd. also tested positive. The last days they worked were Jan. 9 and 11.
The LCBO located at 8783 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, also had an employee test positive for COVID-19. The last shift the employee worked in-store was Jan. 12.
