Several LCBO employees at stores in York Region contracted COVID-19 over the holiday season.

Hardest hit was the LCBO at 8260 Hwy. 27, Woodbridge, where four employees have tested positive for COVID-19 since Dec. 29th. The last days the employees worked at the store were Dec. 29, Dec. 27 and Dec. 24.

An employee at the LCBO at 100 Copper Creek Dr., Markham, also tested positive. The last day they worked was Dec. 22

The LCBO at 180 Promenade Circle, Thornhill also had an employee test positive. The last shift they worked was December 18th.

Earlier in December, two employees at the LCBO at 8783 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, tested positive for COVID-19. According to the LCBO, the last days those employees worked were Dec. 12 and 15.

On its website, the LCBO said it follows the direction of public health officials to limit the effect COVID-19 may have on its people, partners, customers and communities.

Some of the enhanced COVID protocols put in place at stores include increased cleaning and sanitization at stores and warehouses and managing traffic flow within stores to avoid crowding.
