Three development companies aspire to carve out space for four tall residential buildings near the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive West and Yonge Street in Richmond Hill.
JUST THE FACTS
Who: The Acorn Development Corporation, Acorn Major Mack Inc. and Woodcreek Development Corporation
Where: 190, 210 and 230 Major MacKenzie Drive West and 129, 133, 137, 141, 143 and 147 Arnold Crescent
What: The applications seek to permit a high-density residential development comprised of four apartment buildings ranging in height from 10 to 19 storeys with at-grade townhouse dwelling units, and a total of 790 residential units on the subject lands.
How: The developers have requested the city amend the official plan and zoning bylaw.
What next: A council public meeting will be scheduled and held at a later date, with formal notice being provided pursuant to the statutory requirements of the planning act.
