Wondering what’s going on in Aurora these days? Here are three things you may want to know about:

        - Christmas tree collection will take place the week of Jan. 18. Ensure all decorations are removed and that the tree is clear of snowbanks to allow for easy pickup. For more information, visit aurora.ca/wasteandrecycling.
        - A three-bag limit for residential waste is now being enforced. Residents can place up to three bags or containers for pickup every other week on their regularly scheduled collection days. Waste beyond the three-bag limit will have a non-compliant sticker placed on it and will not be picked up. If you have extra garbage, hold onto the items until the next waste collection week or drop it off at the closest waste depot transfer station. For more information, visit: aurora.ca/wasteandrecycling.
- Are you experiencing cabin fever? Bundle up, grab your camera, head outdoors and take some photos. Then submit them to the town’s Cabin Fever Reliever photo contest. Photos must be taken outside, the subject matter must be appropriate for all ages and physical distancing must be maintained. Submit your entries by Jan. 25 with your full name along with the location and title of your photos to aaraujo@aurora.ca for a chance to win a prize.
