Vaughan Shoppers Drug Mart employee tests positive for COVID-19

Eight employees at several Shoppers Drug Mart locations in the Toronto area reported testing positive for COVID-19 in the last few days.
In Brampton, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 10970 Airport Road tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19 on January 13. They had last worked on January 7.
On January 14, an employee at the 523 St. Clair Avenue West location reported testing positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They had last worked on January 7.
That same day another Shoppers Drug Mart reported two employees at 958 Bloor Street West testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day the team members worked was on January 7 and 8, respectively.
At the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 399 Bathurst Street, an employee reported testing positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They had last worked on January 9.
In Vaughan, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 9306 Bathurst Street reported testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on January 10.
In Toronto, an employee at the 2528 Bayview Avenue location reported testing positive on a presumptive test for the virus and had last worked on January 8.
At the 728 Yonge Street Shoppers Drug Mart, an employee reported testing positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19 and had last worked on January 8.
In an effort for transparency, Loblaws updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.
“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
