Mary Ng and Leah Taylor Roy were announced among the first 20 nominated Liberal candidates in Canada and the first two Liberal candidates nominated in York Region on Dec. 22
Ng will be the Liberal candidate for the third time in Markham-Thornhill while Roy will be running for the second time in Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill.
“I am honoured to have once again earned the trust of local Liberals to represent our community in Parliament, and to work with Justin Trudeau to deliver support for Canadians and keep Canada moving forward,” Ng said.
Taylor Roy was acclaimed as the Liberal candidate for Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill, which is currently represented by Conservative MP Leona Alleslev.
“At the heart of my political aspirations is my belief that politics is about people. I am committed to doing my best, when elected, to serve the people of our riding, to listen and act on their concerns, and to work with Justin Trudeau and the Federal Liberal government to help our country build back better,” Taylor Roy said.
