UPDATE: Broken watermain repair impacts Keswick's Queensway for 2nd day

Northbound lanes of roadway open to accomodate 2-way traffic

Northbound lanes on The Queensway South in Keswick have been reopened for the morning of Dec. 8 after crews worked overnight to repair a broken water main.

The roadway was closed northbound and southbound from Bayview Avenue to Bessborough Drive during Dec. 7 after a major water main broke around 4:30 a.m.

Southbound lanes remain closed from Bessborough to Pleasant Boulevard, according to a spokesperson for the Town of Georgina.

Opening the northbound lanes is enabling traffic flow in both directions.

No time for opening the southbound lanes has been provided by the municipality.
