Broken watermain expected to keep Keswick's Queensway closed most of the day

Both directions of roadway closed as crews work to repair damage

Traffic is expected to be diverted on The Queensway South in Keswick for all of Dec. 8 as crews repair a broken water main.

The roadway was closed northbound and southbound from Bayview Avenue to Bessborough Drive during the morning of Dec. 7 after a major water main broke around 4:30 a.m.

Repair crews remain on the scene at midday and repairs are expected to be completed at some point in the evening, said a statement issued by a Town of Georgina spokesperson.

Motorists are advised to find alternate driving routes during the course of the day.
