4 employees at Thornhill Longo's test positive for COVID-19

Four employees at the Thornhill Longo's located at 7355 Bayview Ave. have tested positive for COVID-19 in a week. The affected employees worked their last shifts in the store between Dec. 11 and 13.

According to the Longo's website, stores have been operating under heightened preventative measures and in accordance with recommendations from public health to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

Public health officials continue to assure that the risk of grocery shopping remains low.

Longo's stated all stores go through a deep clean and sanitization as needed, based on public health protocols.

The Bayview location is not the only Longo's in York Region with recent positive tests. Two employees at the Stouffville Longo's have tested positive in recent weeks.
