Are you looking for an “angel” to help you with snow shovelling this winter?

Aurora residents who need a helping hand getting the dreaded white stuff off their driveways and walkways can turn to the town to find a volunteer through the free, online platform called Snow Angels Canada.

Residents can sign up to volunteer or request assistance at snowangelscanada.ca.

While the town doesn’t own or operate the online platform, staff have worked with Snow Angels Canada to promote the service for residents.

“We are encouraging residents of Aurora to sign up and volunteer to help out our most vulnerable Aurorans,” Mayor Tom Mrakas said.

“We understand that some residents may be physically unable to shovel, which is tough during the winter. This program will provide connections to those in need and relies on the kindness of the Aurora community to be successful.”
