Track maintenance work along Barrie corridor is underway and will result in train trip cancellation and bus replacement.

JUST THE FACTS:

• Location: Barrie GO line from King GO Station down to Steeles Ave in Vaughan.

• Travelling northbound: The Union-Allandale Waterfront GO 22:53 train trip will be cancelled Dec. 8 to 11 and 14 to 18.

• A replacement bus will depart Union Station Bus Terminal at 22:37 to connect passengers to GO bus service at Aurora GO.

• The bus will make stops at Rutherford, Maple and King City GO.

• Replacing the wooden track ties makes for a smoother ride for customers and associated benefits of a smoother ride for the trains themselves.

• Some work may need to proceed overnight and residents may notice noise from the machinery and some ambient light from site.

On the Barrie corridor alone, 2,700 ties have been replaced to date during this construction cycle.
