Construction to continue to the end of the year, resurfacing done in 2021

Construction along Dalton and Catering roads are part of the Ainslie Hill development.

JUST THE FACTS:

• Location: Dalton Road between Baseline Road and Catering Road; and Catering Road between Dalton Road to Country Mile Lane;

• Phase one of construction along Dalton Road started in September and is expected to be complete by the end of 2020;

• Phase two includes construction on Catering Road, which will start in the spring;

• Roadwork includes: fill removal; installing underground infrastructure for new subdivision servicing; installing new watermains, sewers and stormwater infrastructure; relocating utility and hydro poles; and connecting existing homeowners on Catering Road to new infrastructure services;

• Road reconstruction and resurfacing will be done in 2021. The unsafe curve on Catering Road will be rebuilt and sidewalks and curbs to be added;

• Dalton Road is closed from Baseline Road and Catering Road;

• Catering Road is closed from Dalton Road to Country Mile Lane;

• The project is funded by the developer as part of the new Ainslie Hill development.
