It doesn’t matter if there is a raging blizzard outside, if a warm spell blows in or anything in between -- don’t park your car overnight on Aurora roads beginning Nov. 15.
Parking on the street from Nov. 15 to April 15 between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m., regardless of the weather, will leave you open to getting a ticket from a bylaw officer.
The fine for each parking offence is $50. Fines for interfering with snow removal are $75.
The overnight winter parking restrictions provide a proactive approach to road safety, the town said in a statement.
Its fleet of snow-clearing equipment and crews maintain about 220 kilometres of roads and 250 kilometres of sidewalks.

Traffic is usually not heavy during the overnight hours, which helps crews meet service delivery standards for snow removal and maintenance. Winter maintenance may occur over several days before or after inclement weather, the town said.
