Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan schools and York Catholic District School Board office have new cases of COVID-19

Two Markham schools reported new cases of COVID-19 on Nov. 12.
Beckett Farm Public School has one case, while St. Augustine Catholic High School also has one new case and one closed classroom.
Two Richmond Hill schools also reported new cases.
Richmond Green Secondary School has one more case, three in total; Trillium Woods Public School has one new case, two cases in total.
Three schools in Vaughan have new cases of COVID-19.
Holy Cross Catholic Academy has four confirmed cases and two closed classrooms; St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Elementary School has one new case and one closed classroom; St. Veronica Elementary School has two confirmed cases and two closed classrooms.
Meanwhile, the York Catholic District School Board office has reported a new case of COVID-19.
Public health will communicate directly with those who had contact with the cases. Both the YCDSB and the York Region District School Board say they’ll ensure that all appropriate measures are being taken.

York Region Public Health reminds students and families not to enter school if they are feeling sick or have had close contact with a confirmed case or with someone who is showing symptoms of COVID-19.
