Markham, Vaughan, Thornhill, Richmond Hill schools have new cases of COVID-19

Two elementary schools in Markham -- Boxwood Public School and Coppard Glen Public School -- each reported a new case of COVID-19 on Nov. 10.
In Woodbridge, Emily Carr Secondary School of York Region District School Board has a new case, while Father Bressani Catholic High School of York Catholic District School Board has a new case and two closed classrooms.
St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Elementary School in Vaughan has been hit hard by the pandemic. It had two new cases reported yesterday and seven confirmed cases in total, with two closed classrooms.
St. Elizabeth Catholic High School in Thornhill also reported a new case. There have been three confirmed cases and three closed classrooms at the school.
Richmond Hill’s Pleasantville Public School and St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School both have two new confirmed cases.
All of these schools remain open. Public Health will communicate directly with those who had contact with the cases. York Region District School Board says all appropriate measures are being taken.
