3 employees test positive for COVID-19 at Sobeys outlet in Thornhill

Employee at Aurora store tested positive earlier in October

Three employees at a Sobeys grocery store in Thornhill tested positive for COVID-19 in recent days.

Sobeys posted on its website Oct. 21 that two employees reported positive tests after working their most recent shifts Oct. 16 and 17, respectively, at the outlet located at 441 Clark Ave. W.

Previously, an employee reported a positive test after working a shift Oct. 14. That information was posted on the company’s website Oct. 19.

Earlier, a positive test for an employee at the Aurora location, 15500 Bayview Ave., was reported on the company’s website Oct. 10. That employee’s last shift prior to the test result was Oct. 5.

The company did not disclose on its website what actions were taken after the positive tests were reported.

An attempt to contact Sobeys late in the afternoon of Oct. 22 for comment was unsuccessful.
