The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville’s Fire Prevention Division has partnered with Canadian software company Surge Learning to create a portable fire extinguisher educational video.
This video will be used in Ontario long-term care and community care homes to provide training to staff. Fire and emergency services will be using this video as a community resource for businesses, staff and residents.
“The fire department is happy to help create content that will educate communities all across the province” Whitchurch-Stouffville Fire Chief Bill Snowball said.
Surge Learning is a Canadian software company providing online education for hundreds of organizations across Canada, including long-term care, retirement, acute care, home care, developmental service and community care organizations. Surge Learning services more than 130,000 users and values its partnerships with experts in various fields to enhance its responsive training for health care professionals.
Using a fire extinguisher is a voluntary act. They should only be used on small fires by trained personnel.
